Description
Répleniss™ is a probiotic supplement containing 3 lactogenic friendly bacteria strains; Lactobacillus; Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus salivarius, and Bifidobacterium bifidus. These strains complement each other in populating the various intestinal segments.

Each dose (pouch) of Répleniss™ delivers 55 Billion Organisms packed in nitrogen.

Répleniss™ is a mixture of complementary bacterial strains
Of the various types of bacteria, only Lactobacilli and Bifidobacterium are important in gut ecology.* They colonize different regions of the human intestine under normal conditions. In the upper intestine, Lactobacilli predominates. In the lower portion of the intestine and colon, Bifidobacterium plays a major beneficial role.

Répleniss™ colonizes the human gastrointestinal tract
Because the Répleniss™ strains of bacteria are human specific, it has a hight affinity to the mucosal lining. Répleniss™ acidophilus binds effectively to human intestinal epithelium. In laboratory testing with human epithelial cell lines Répleniss™ bacteria adhered more effectively than non-human derived organisms (Fig1).

Répleniss™ Select Strains
The Répleniss™ strains are selected because they are good producers of bacteriocins. Many miso fermenting bacteria are also good producers of bacteriocins.

Bacteriocins are produced by select lactogenic bacteria** which allow the friendly bacteria to control growth of the undesirable competing bacteria. Bacteriocins cause increased water channel formation in the wall of undesirable bacteria leading to reduction of the undesirable flora numbers.

**Note: Other bacteria may also produce bacteriocins.

Gut Immunity Enhancement*
Recent data demonstrates that select lactogenic bacteria have a gentle activation effect on intestinal immunity. This enhancement was dose dependent. The high potency Répleniss™ insures a more than sufficient dose. Select strains enhanced secretory IgA production in the intestinal tract.*

Antioxidant Effect
Select strains of lactobacilli and bifidobacteria are able to act as antioxidant factors. The large 50-60 Billion dose of Répleniss™ promotes a sizable population of these bacteria.

The lactogenic bacteria were shown to contribute to:

1. Chelation of heavy metals that initiate oxidation such as excess copper, iron, manganese, etc.
2. Scavaging and quenching of free radicals of reactive oxygen molecules.*
3. Inhibition of oxidative promoting enzymes.*

Tolerant to Stomach Acid and Bile
Répleniss™ resistance to stomach acid and bile means it can be taken with meals. High post digestion survival levels mean that a reduced dose is effective. Only ½ sachet per day can deliver tens of billions of beneficial and viable Lactobacilli and Bifidobacterium.

Répleniss™ is viable with a long shelf life
In general, lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium are sensitive to processing. Special steps are required to assure organism viability and dramatically increase storage time. Répleniss™ is harvested and freeze dried using specially developed procedures which protect against damage and thus assure high viability over an extended period of time. Répleniss™ will provide a minimum of 55 billion organisms after six months of freezing.

Use
The ultra potency of Répleniss™ is intended to give a 50-60 Billion boost of friendly bacteria per dose in order to overwhelm the undesirable bacteria and helps to maintain the friendly flora.
