High Potency Multi-Vitamin & Mineral Supplement
Overview
Our wellness dietary supplements are formulated with the following objectives
in mind:
- To provide compatible nutrient forms
- To include generous amounts that make nutritional sense
- To use highly bioavailable forms of the nutrients
- To provide you with the rationale for the formula
Our goal is to provide you with supplements that optimize your health.
To implement our objectives we adopted the following approach to supplementation:
A. Microcoating
B. Use of bioavailable nutrient forms
C. Avoiding "Cosmetic" amounts
D. Avoiding incompatibilities
Microcoating
Microcoating is a process where the granules of the individual compatible
nutrients are coated before being mixed into the overall formula. Microcoating
helps deliver maximum intact nutrients to your body. It also reduces oxidation
of 17 key nutrients and prolongs shelf life.
Example 1:
Vitamin A, Beta Carotene, Vitamin E and Vitamin B12 oxidize by oxygen
in the air while in the tablet thus losing 4 - 8% of their potency per
month. These nutrients are better protected by microcoating.
Example 2:
Uncoated Chromium, Iron, Copper and Manganese found in regular vitamins
can accelerate the decomposition of Vitamin A, K, D, Riboflavin and Pyridoxine
in the tablet. Microcoating used in our PolyVytaMyns helps minimize
this process.
Bioavailable Nutrient Forms
Improved bioavailability of nutrients refers to:
- High absorption
- Better utilization
Example 1:
Practically all citrus bioflavonoids in multi-formulas sold on the market
are actually a "Bioflavonoid Complex." A citrus "Bioflavonoid
Complex" is a crude non-soluble by-product of the citrus juice industry.
Complex bioflavonoids usually contain 40-50% flavonoids locked in the
crude orange rind and peel by-product. Since we do not digest cellulose,
the flavonoids are not released. A "Bioflavonoid Complex" is
not a bioavailable form of flavonoids, especially when small amounts are
used. Our PolyVytaMyns formula uses generous amounts of the pure
forms of the 3 bioflavonoids: pure hesperidin, naringin and hesperidin
methyl chalcone.
Example 2:
B12 absorption is compromised in people with low or no stomach acid, and
in strict vegetarians. PolyVytaMyns includes the active form B12
Hydroxycobalamine which is better absorbed and utilized than dietary B12.
Also included in this supplement, is natural, water soluble Beta Carotene
and Vitamin A. The uptake of fat soluble vitamins can be significantly
enhanced when taken orally in water miscible forms.
Avoiding "Cosmetic" Amounts
"Cosmetic" nutrients included by many competitors in such small
or insignificant amounts that their overall contribution to your nutritional
needs are inconsequential. A case in Point: Biotin.
We have included 2mg (2000mcg) of Biotin per tablet as compared to 200
- 300mcg in other formulas. The main reason other formulas use "cosmetic"
amounts of Biotin is its very high cost; 1 Kg of Biotin costs between
$4,000.00 - $8,000.00. Biotin is supposedly made in "sufficient"
amounts by the microflora in our gut; but with widespread intestinal health
problems, sufficient production is not a guaranteed process.
Sufficient dietary amounts are needed because our limited Biotin intake
is used in various processes:
- Helps maintain blood sugar control*
- Helps regulate protein systhesis*
- Is important in the metabolism of essential fatty acids*
Compatibility & Availability
For best delivery of nutrients to the human system, it is very important
to understand the compatibility of ingredients. The best way to explain
this point is by giving examples:
Example 1:
We have included small amounts of Calcium and Magnesium for the following
reasons:
1. Calcium and Magnesium are macronutrients. We require significant amounts
and tablet size constraints do not allow us to include large amounts of
these minerals.
2. More importantly, vitamin absorption is optimal when included in a
meal, while Calcium and Magnesium absorption is reduced when consumed
with solid food. The reduction in absorption is even more pronounced in
individuals with gastrointestinal problems.
Example 2:
We did not include Vitamin C in our PolyVytaMyns because: When Vitamin
C is included in a multi-formula, chemical reactions with Selenium, Chromium,
Manganese and Copper can easily occur in the tablet. Both Vitamin C and
the minerals are thus altered. Microcoating the minerals before mixing
avoids the above undesirable effect. Vitamin C can reduce copper absorption
and bioavailability. Nutritionally significant amounts of Vitamin C cannot
be included in each tablet due to space constraints. In addition, most
people take a Vitamin C supplement.

Suggested Use: Take two capsules a day with a meal or as directed.
Warning: If pregnant, consult your physician before using this or any
other product. Keep out of the reach of children.
