High Absorption Vitamin A Supplement

Nutrisorb-A™ ensures efficient absorption of Vitamin A in a fashion which is minimally dependent on fat digesting capabilities. Therefore, it is well suited for those who have fat intolerance and exhibit problems in the assimilation of fat soluble nutrients.

Nutrisorb-A™ is a micellized liquid preparation in which the Vitamin A readily disperses in water. This greatly facilitates its absorption. The unique Nutrisorb™ process completely avoids detergents or chemicals to solubilize the Vitamin A. Many emulsified and micellized Vitamin A products use surfactants and detergents.

Each drop of Nutrisorb-A™ contains 10,000 IU of Vitamin A as retinal palmitate and is free of allergenic additives and does not contain detergents.

Emulsification versus Micellization
Micellization is an effective procedure used to increase the bioavailability of fat-soluble nutrients by making them dispersible or more soluble in water. Micellization helps form micro droplets of fat-soluble compounds, such as Vitamin A, to facilitate dispersion in water. These submicroscopic complexes are called micelles.

Micelles of fatty acids or fat soluble compounds contain as few as 10 to 20 molecules. Emulsified fat particles can be thousands of times larger than micelles and contain millions of molecules. Micelles are small enough to fit between the microvilli, the thin microscopic hair-like projections of single intestinal mucosal cells, and are much more efficiently absorbed, See Figure 1.
